membership, but fellowship,
In
essentials, unity,
In
non-essentials, liberty,
In
all things, love...

It's On My Mind

Losing weight …..it's on my mind. Hey, don't stop reading yet. Sure, everywhere I turn these days someone, it seems, is losing weight. Church staff, and ministry staff are looking and feeling healthier.
Pastor Bill got a good report this morning from his doctor…weight loss was a part of that. Me? Well, the material in my clothes is still shrinking. I don't know what the deal is. And yes, I could lose a few pounds also, but won't go there now.
But I do need to lose some weight. The writer of Hebrews put it this way, “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily hinders our progress. And let us run with endurance the race that God has set before us.”
“Lord, please help me lay aside those things that are hindering my endurance in the race YOU have set before me?” Keep trim spiritually and ready to run.
It was just on my mind.
God loves you and so do I!
Pastor Jerry
